My Jetta

I bought a used 2011 Volkswagen Jetta SE because I’ve been driving a GMC Envoy and it’s horrible on gas.  I knew after shopping around that it wasn’t one that advertised the “best” gas mileage at 24 city/31 hwy, but the overall package of the car was enough to sign the dotted line.  I feel the need to share this because, it had 33,000 miles so you know it’s broken in.  I’ve been getting around 37 miles to the gallon!  And my drive to work is killer! 31 miles one way with hills and windy roads.  After some more research I have found that Jettas tend to get better gas mileage the more broken in the car is.  So, in case anyone out there is wondering, Jettas are pretty good on gas and only get better with age!

Conflict Resolution

Conflict resolution is conceptualized as the methods and processes involved in facilitating the peaceful ending of some social conflict. Often times, committed group members attempt to resolve group conflicts by actively communicating information about their conflicting motives or ideologies to the rest of the group (e.g., intentions; reasons for holding certain beliefs), and by engaging in collective negotiation. ^[1] Ultimately, a wide range of methods and procedures for addressing conflict exist, including but not limited to, negotiation, mediation, diplomacy, and creative peacebuilding.

I got off work a couple of hours ago, I’m on my second Wood Chuck and perhaps its the semi-alcoholic beverage, but I am just so happy to be home.  There is still a bunch of work to be done, but it feels good to have everything moved into the house. No need to mess with the old apartment any longer. What a relief! I’m going to be working on the office/art room today.  Hopefully I will be up and running enough to begin my playing card collection. As for right now, it seems like the perfect time to take a nap! After all, I did just finish a 12 hour long night shift. Bleh.
